My apologies for taking so long to update. We've been traveling about, and things have been busy. We had a nice, leisurely, 3000 mile drive venturing from Davis to Seattle, Richland, Spokane and then right back through in reverse order. It was totally worth it, as we were able to visit Meg & Steve for their Christmas party (Seattle), visit Andrew and Dave in Spokane, visit my family and the good ol' boys from Richland in the first week. Then for the rest of the break we hung out in the Seattle area seeing all of our families. We did the racing around for Christmas Eve and Christmas but it was definitely worth it getting to see the whole Ferleman clan and the Carosino crew. We had an awesome Christmas morning (Reg got me an Xbox 360 after making me feel like the worst person alive for even being interested in such a "material and unnecessary item"...which she already HAD!!! Needless to say, she really surprised me with that one.) We celebrated my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary (Congrats again!). Reagan also got to see some her old friends, while Celeste and I beat Halo3, and for new year's eve we had an excellent dinner at Ristorante Paradisio in Kirkland with Katie and Caleb (really good food, even the escargot). It was a great trip and the only problem was that even with a little over 2 weeks we still just didn't have enough time. It was tough leaving but we'll be back again soon and look forward to seeing everyone again.
Here's a brief picture summary of our trip.
On the order of the dog, she is ok. After the scare with the spaying gone wrong, she has been for the most part ok. She has lost most of her milk teeth and gained about 2 pounds over the trip. She did spurt a new little growth on her stomach which will be getting checked out tomorrow. Sadly, it really isn't so little and it is ever growing, so we're hoping its some bug bite or allergic reaction and not a tumor. We'll see.
P.S. On the way home we got stuck between the Siskiyous and Weed, CA due to blizzard conditions so we wanted to thank Uncle Steve again for the venison jerky which is no longer around because we ate it all while we were sitting there for 3.5 hours. Thanks again, it was delicious.
