The Runyon Family

Sorry we haven't updated in a while, things have just been so busy lately! There don't seem to be enough hours in the day. We are now getting things wrapped up for our trip to WA for Thanksgiving and I'm studying for yet another test the day before turkey day.

This past weekend, Reagan's family came down to check out Davis and hang out. They flew into Sacramento airport on Thursday night. After a pleasant re-acquaintance to the traffic of crazy California we made it to their hotel. Unfortunately I still had school this next morning so we just hung out for a bit and headed back to Davis. The next morning they came out and met Scout! After some playing with the dog, we took a walk to go see Scout on the slide and eat some lunch at Dos Coyotes, a delicious southwestern joint. Then we rented some bikes and did the Davis bike loop. It was a lot of fun, especially when we were passing our house and decided to stop by. Unfortunately my keys had left themselves at the bike shop... we finished the loop and Reagan's parents took us out for my birthday to Sudwerks (you have to try the local brewery). We came back home to some game playing and falling asleep. The next day we checked out the downtown and the farmer's market and had a delicious spread of afghan appetizers and fine cheese. Of course what could follow that up, but some home made pizza and board games. Sunday it was raining so we went to an art museum in Old Sacramento. Then we walked the boardwalk in Old Sac. Let me tell you, if you want candy and cheesy joke gifts, this is your place. Unfortunately that's about all there is to it. We went back to the house and had some delicious dinner cooked by Reagan and her mom. Unfortunately the weather didn't clear that quickly and while we still had a good lunch at the old town hall of Davis called Bistro 33 and of course did more dog walking. All in all it was really nice just get to hang out with family and take a break from the rush. It also is nice since we won't be able to see anyone all too much over Thanksgiving since we'll be doing ~27 hrs of driving overall in the weekend.
